Ozzy Osbourne's cause of death has been revealed two weeks after his sudden passing.
The legendary rocker passed away last month from a heart attack, according to a death certificate filed in London by his daughter Aimee and obtained by The New York Times on Tuesday (August 5). The document lists his cause of death as an "out of hospital cardiac arrest" and "acute myocardial infarction" with "joint causes" coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction, per People.
The Black Sabbath singer's job title listed on the certificate was also fitting for the iconic musician, with the document recognizing Ozzy as a "songwriter, performer and rock legend," per Page Six.
The Prince of Darkness passed away July 22 at the age of 76, weeks after his final performance, with his family — including wife Sharon, daughters Aimee and Kelly and sons Louis and Jack — confirming the monumental loss in a statement.
"It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the statement reads. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
Earlier this week, Kelly Osbourne shared an emotional message about her grief and navigating the loss of her father, calling it the "hardest moment" of her life and admitting that she "will not be OK for a while."
Thousands of fans gathered in Ozzy's hometown of Birmingham, England, on July 30 for a public funeral procession, as his family joined to honor the late rocker and say their final goodbyes.
