Trump Says Gayle King's Career Is Over. She Responds With Class

August 7, 2025

Gayle King, co-host of CBS Mornings, was the subject of a harsh post from Donald Trump following rumors about her future at CBS.

According to TV Insider, CBS might not renew Gayle’s contract when it ends in May 2026. The report sparked online chatter, including a post from Trump on his Truth Social platform.

He wrote, “Gayle King’s career is over. She should have stayed with her belief in TRUMP. She never had the courage to do so. No talent, no ratings, no strength.”

When asked to respond, Gayle handled it with grace. She told TMZ, “I’m sorry the President feels that way,” and added that she plans to continue doing a good job. She also noted she is in great company on Trump’s list of critics, which includes Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Stephen Colbert.
