Kelly Clarkson canceled her latest Las Vegas residency show last minute to support her children, River, 11, and Remington, 9.
The "Since U Been Gone" hitmaker took to Instagram to let fans know she had to postpone the next few shows due to a "personal" matter regarding the health of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
"Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas. While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding," she wrote.
Fans sounded off in support of Clarkson and her family in the comment section, remarking, "Those kids need you more than we do! Go be the best momma! Best wishes to all involved," and "Family first. Praying for recovery and peace."
This is not the first time Clarkson has canceled a Vegas residency show last minute, citing personal reasons. In July, the "Stronger" songstress postponed a show to protect her voice.
"The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve," she explained in a July 4 Instagram Post.
