Ice Cube is sharing his thoughts on the recent raids conducted by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement in cities around the country, including his hometown.

During an interview Real 92.3's The Cruz Show published on Wednesday, August 6, the veteran rapper-actor spoke on a few subjects including his upcoming concert, the BIG3 league, and more. At one point in their discussion, J Cruz asked Cube how he feels about the ICE raids in Los Angeles. The L.A. native said it hurts to see the mostly Latin population get swept away by the deportation officers from their safe places like their homes and churches.

"It hurts," he said. "You know it's all kind of different situations that's been going around as far as immigration, but to see people disrespected like that and federal government just being too heavy-handed and disrespectful in the churches and weddings and grabbing people out of those schools. It's like, 'Come on, man.' Y'all just overdoing it."

Ice Cube noted that the country constantly "flip-flops," which makes it difficult for anyone to keep up. Like most people in the U.S., he can't wait for this dark period in American history to end. The former N.W.A. rapper also feels like ICE is traumatizing people like just other have done in the past.

"They come in and disrespect everybody," he added. "They want to traumatize people. It's a whole tactic they've been using forever, and it's played out."

Elsewhere in the conversation, Ice Cube also boasted about the BIG3's success and reacted to the disturbing trend that's plagued the WNBA games recently. Listen here or watch the entire interview below.
