Jennifer Aniston made a rare comment about the "love triangle" she found herself in 20 years ago with then-husband Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair published Monday (August 11), the Morning Show star opened up about the turbulent end of her marriage to the Ocean's Eleven actor, that was shrouded in rumors he sparked a romance with his Mr. & Mrs. Smith costar, per E! News. The pair were married in 2000 before divorcing in 2005.

"It was such juicy reading for people. If they didn't have their soap operas, they had their tabloids," she said, adding, "It's a shame that it had to happen, but it happened. And boy did I take it personally."

While the constant comments on her personal life took their toll on the Along Came Polly actress, she ultimately learned that she needed to "keep on walking" and "pick yourself up by the bootstraps."

Aniston also recalled "jarring" interview she had with Vanity Fair in 2005 shortly after Pitt and Jolie posed together for W magazine depicting their "domestic bliss," with the Friends alum stating at the time that "there's a sensitivity chip that's missing."

"I just remember the experience of doing it — which was kind of jarring," she said in the new interview. "It was also such a vulnerable time. But yeah, that was one for the memoirs."

Pitt and Jolie tied the knot in 2014 after several years of dating and split two years later. The exes, who share six children — Maddox, 24, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17 — finalized their contentious divorce in December 2024. Aniston later married The Leftovers actor Justin Theroux in 2015, but the pair split three years later. Most recently, she has sparked romance rumors with hypnotist Jim Curtis.
