On Sunday (August 10), two suspects led police on a dramatic chase through Los Angeles County, carjacking multiple vehicles, including a big rig, during the pursuit. The chase began when the suspects, driving a dark-colored pickup truck believed to be stolen, attempted to break into two other cars without success. However, they managed to corner and carjack a white big rig on the 5 Freeway near Sylmar.

The chase, which was broadcast live on TV, saw the suspects drive through various parts of Los Angeles, including Sylmar, Santa Clarita, North Hollywood, Hollywood, Hollywood Hills, Echo Park, downtown Los Angeles, Westlake, and Boyle Heights. Around 11:30 p.m., the suspects abandoned the big rig in downtown Los Angeles and carjacked a third vehicle, a white pickup truck, before continuing to Boyle Heights.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is still searching for the suspects, whose whereabouts remain unknown. It is unclear where the initial pickup truck was stolen from or which company owned the big rig. No further details about the third carjacking victim have been released.
