Lin-Manuel Miranda to Speak at Hamilton College

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the acclaimed creator and star of the Broadway hit "Hamilton," will visit Hamilton College in Clinton on Monday, September 29. As part of the Sacerdote Great Names series, Miranda will deliver a talk at the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Registration for tickets begins in early September at hamilton.edu/greatnames.
Miranda, known for his work on "Hamilton," which won 11 Tony Awards and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize in Drama, will return to the college where he previously performed in 2012. The college, named after Alexander Hamilton, provides a fitting backdrop for the event celebrating the musical's 10th anniversary.
In addition to "Hamilton," Miranda's credits include creating the Tony-winning musical "In the Heights," directing the film "Tick, Tick... BOOM!," and contributing music to Disney films like "Moana" and "Encanto." He has also appeared in various television shows and films, showcasing his versatility as an artist.
The Sacerdote Great Names series has previously featured notable figures such as President Barack Obama, Tina Fey, and Aretha Franklin, providing the Hamilton community with opportunities to engage with prominent leaders in various fields.
