RECIPES:

BLT POTATO SALAD – Cook small potatoes in salted water for about 10 minutes or until just tender, drain and rinse with cold water and then cut into halves or quarters. In a bowl mix sour cream, mayonnaise and vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Toss the potatoes into the dressing and add in cherub tomatoes (halved) and chopped cooked bacon and arugula and then add chopped chives.

FRENCH ONION FLAT BREAD – In a large pot, melt butter and some olive oil in and then add in thinly sliced yellow onions for about 25 minutes on low heat, covered until so soft and tender and then turn up heat and sprinkle with sugar and salt. And cook another 30 minutes until golden brown and caramelized. Add in crème fraiche and gruyere and grated parmesan cheese and then season with pepper. You can make your own dough or buy premade dough and roll the dough out into a flat rectangle and drizzle with oil. On a greased rimmed baking sheet, add your dough, and spread the onion mixture on it to the boarder and then top with more gruyere and parmesan cheese and bake at 450 until cheese is melted and bubbly and cook for 10-15 minutes. And then sprinkle fresh chopped thyme.
