Old Dominion Tease Heartfelt 'Love Letter' From 'Most Personal' Chapter

Old Dominion shared a personal “love letter” to Nashville, Tennessee.

The record-setting band offered a sneak peek of a ballad that’s set to appear on their upcoming studio album Barbara, which will make its debut on Friday (August 22). Old Dominion — made up of Matthew RamseyTrevor RosenWhit SellersGeoff Sprung, and Brad Tursi — shared a clip of “Goodnight Music City,” an unreleased track that serves as “our love letter to Nashville.”

“Goodnight Music City” appears on the 13-track album with “Making Good Time,” “Water My Flowers,” “Miss You Man,” “Late Great Heartbreak” and more. Old Dominion previously said we’re bringing more of ourselves into the room,” in this upcoming chapter. “These are our songs, so they should be pulled from our lives. You don’t realize as you’re writing necessarily, but when we listened to these 13 songs, we all realized: it’s our most personal record ever.”

Barbara follows Meat and Candy (2015), Happy Endings (2017), Old Dominion (2019), Time, Tequila & Therapy (2021) and Memory Lane (2023). Old Dominion’s previous records include “Hotel Key,” “One Man Band,” “Break Up with Him” and other iconic anthems spanning the group’s career..
