Man Arrested After 11-Year-Old Stepdaughter Gives Birth

Authorities in Muskogee, Oklahoma, have arrested Dustin Walker, 34, and Cherie Walker, 33, after their 11-year-old stepdaughter gave birth at home on August 16. The couple faces felony child neglect charges for allegedly failing to provide necessary medical care and supervision. According to Muskogee County Assistant District Attorney Janet Hutson, the child had not seen a doctor in over a year and received no prenatal care.

Court documents indicate that the girl was 36 weeks pregnant when she delivered the baby. The Walkers claim they were unaware of the pregnancy until the birth occurred. The district attorney's office learned about the situation after the child was taken to the hospital post-birth. Hutson expressed her shock, stating, "This child is traumatized. She's been through a horrific ordeal."

The couple is currently held in the Muskogee County Jail with a $100,000 bond each. Authorities are awaiting paternity test results to determine the baby's father and anticipate filing additional charges. The Walkers are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, September 3.
