Lil Nas X is speaking out for the first time since he was arrested and released from jail.

On Tuesday, August 26, the controversial artist addressed his legal situation in a video he posted to his Instagram Stories. In it, he said he's going to be alright and revealed how he felt after he was arrested following his nude parade down Ventura Boulevard in California.

"Your girl is going to be ok y'all," the 26-year-old said into the camera. "It's gonna be alright. It's gonna be alright... S**t. That was f**king terrifying! That was a terrifying four days, but your girl is going to be alright."

Lil Nas X was released from jail after a judge set bond at $75,000. He was charged with four felony charges, including battery with injury on a police officer and resisting an executive officer, after he stripped naked while walking in the middle of the street in Ventura, Calif. In response to calls from witnesses, police approached the artist and believed he was suffering from a drug overdose. That's when Lil Nas got completely naked and lunged at the officers. He allegedly injured three of them, but was tased and subdued. He was taken to a hospital before he was transferred to jail.

The officers who responded to the incident suffered numerous injuries. According to TMZ, one of the cops suffered an injury to their head and another suffered a back sprain. Another cop said the artist hurt his hand. Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman confirmed that Lil Nas X faces up to five years in prison if convicted of the charges.

The artist's father attended his court hearing on Monday. He told a group of reporters that his son feels remorseful about the situation, and he'll receive the help he needs. Based on the video, it seems like Lil Nas X is doing better, but only time will tell.
