In a quarterly update, Office of Housing Stability (HOST) Senior Advisor Cole Chandler told members of the city’s Community Planning and Housing Committee that, although the mayor’s initiative has placed more than 1,485 people in shelters so far this year, as of June 30, only 743 out of 2,000 have exited into permanent housing.

Chandler attributed the lagging numbers to cuts to state and federal housing resources.

Uh-huh. There is a bright spot in that more people have exited to permanent housing than back to the streets or dead. Yay. I can't wait to check in on these people in the next year, and I'd love to know how many of them are being moved into places like Fusion Studios, which I understand from a resident is something of a living hell. Just curious.

He's resigning from his position as County Coroner September 2nd, saving Pueblo the expense of recalling his sorry butt.

MEDICARE IS TESTING PRIOR AUTHORIZATION WITH AI And right now it's focused on six procedures that the Center for Medicaid Services which oversees Medicare says are dubious in outcomes. What will you need a prior authorization to do now? In six states, not including Colorado, the pilot program will use an AI program, which is INCENTIVIZED to say no, to determine if Medicare recipients can get devices for incontinence control, cervical fusion, certain steroid injections for pain management, select nerve stimulators and the diagnosis and treatment of impotence. If this works, and I'm sure it will, expect this to be extended to other things in other states. As one who is currently on a government plan that requires Pre Authorization for everything, good luck to these older folks navigating those processes.

Mental illness and cross sex hormones are a recipe for disaster. The FDA knows these drugs can cause an INCREASE in depression and suicidality and yet they still support giving them to mixed up kids.

And it's not just these two shooters. For such a tiny part of the population they are overrepresented in the mass shooting space.

Not every trans person is a suicidal killer. But we need to have a serious talk about the effects of these drugs on people with other mental health issues.
