Here's The Story Of How Jordan Davis' 'Monster' Single Came To Life

Dan and Reid Isbell hosted another duo of songwriting brothers on a recent episode of God’s Country.

During their conversation, Josh and Matt Jenkins chatted with the Isbell brothers about writing a “monster song” with Jordan Davis. The Jenkins brothers wrote “Buy Dirt” with Davis and his brother, Jacob Davis. Luke Bryan joined he Louisiana-born singer-songwriter on the hit single. “Buy Dirt” went on to win the Country Music Association’s Song of the Year honor.

“This week is a special podcast featuring two hit songwriters and brothers, Josh and Matt Jenkins. The four brothers dive into industry highs and lows, their journey to Nashville, and what it feels like sharing all of these moments with family.
