Snoop Dogg recently stirred up controversy by expressing his thoughts about LGBTQ+ representation in children's films, but his response to an alleged apology is causing even more confusion.

After he claimed he was "scared to go to the movies" with his grandkids upon seeing Disney's Lightyear, Snoop Dogg became the target of pundits everywhere including Ts Madison. Madison sounded off about Snoop's comments on "TMZ Live," which were shared by Hollywood Unlocked. In HU's post about the situation, Snoop Dogg's official Instagram account left an apologetic comment and said he was "just caught off guard" by the lesbian couple in the film.

"I was just caught off guard and had no answer for my grandsons all my gay friends no what’s up they been calling me with love," Snoop allegedly wrote. "My bad for not knowing the answers for a 6 yr old 😳teach me how to learn I’m not perfect 🙌🏿🙏🏾🐾"

Now, five days after the comment was made, Snoop's rep claims the comment is "fake." In a statement they made to The Hollywood Reporter, the comment in question was not written by the seasoned rapper. They still do not know who's behind it.

The controversy began after Snoop appeared on the It's Giving Podcast and shared his thoughts about Disney's Lightyear. He said he saw the Toy Story spinoff with his grandkids in 2022. After the film showed a lesbian kissing and raising a child together, Snoop said his grandkids asked him questions that he didn't "have an answer for.”

“Well, my grandson, in the middle of the movie is like, ‘Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman!" Snoop recalled right before he shared his thoughts at the time. “Oh s**t, I didn’t come in for this s**t. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”

As of this report, Snoop Dogg has not issued a formal apology or any other comments regarding the issue.
