2Pac's brother wants to know how Drake was able to buy the late rapper's alleged Death Row chain.

In an interview Loren Lorosa posted on Monday, September 2, Mopreme Shakur sounded off about Drizzy's recent acquisition of a Death Row charm that apparently belonged to the revered MC. While criticizing Drizzy's affinity for UK rappers, Shakur questioned why the Canadian artist is going after 'Pac's prized possessions.

"My man need to think more about his moves," Mopreme said. "Because I just saw an interview with him in London, talking about, 'London got the best rappers. London rappers are better than American rappers.' So why are you so seeking after the King of Raps' jewels, literal jewels?"

"I think the family should have all of 'Pac's things, personally," he continued. "But things don't always work out that way. But my personal opinion. That's what I feel."

Mopreme emphasized that he's not trying to instigate any issues, but he's naturally upset that his brother's things couldn't stay within his family. Drake has been buying the deceased rapper's items over the past two years. In 2023, Drake reportedly spent over $1 million at a Sotheby’s auction to buy a ring 'Pac once wore. The crown-shaped ring consists of gold, ruby, and diamonds. The ring became a hot topic of discussion during Drake and Kendrick Lamar's beef last year.

Drake recently revealed 'Pac's Death Row chain in an Instagram post. He posted photos of both sides of the gold pendant, which has "All eyez on YOU 1996" engraved on the back. 'Pac wore the chain for the cover of his 1996 album All Eyez On Me. Drizzy bought the charm from collector Alexander Bitar, but 2Pac's former label boss Suge Knight alleged the charm is phony. Knight said he gave 'Pac the chain in 1995 after the "California Love" rapper got out of jail. He claimed there was nothing on the back when he gave it to him.

"Drake should go back and kick their draws up they ass, but I don't go hard about it because it ain't Drake's fault," Knight told The Art of Dialogue last month. "I believe Drake really admires 2Pac and like 2Pac.... But when it's all said and done, that's not a 2Pac chain. That's not a Death Row chain. Whoever sold you that, Drake, you need to go beat his muthaf**kin' ass. He played you."

Neither Drake nor Bitar has commented on the authenticity of the charm.
