Study Says Astrology May Not Be All That Accurate

September 4, 2025

A new study suggests that astrology might not be the personality blueprint we think it is. Researchers recently tested the accuracy of astrology by analyzing how well professional astrologers could predict life outcomes based on birth charts. The results were disappointing. The astrologers’ predictions were no better than random guesses.

The researchers concluded that there is no scientific backing for zodiac signs influencing personality or life paths. Still, many people swear by their horoscopes and find personal meaning in astrology. So we asked our team if they identified with the most common traits of their zodiac signs. Here’s what came up:

Steve (Capricorn): Driven, goal-oriented, struggles to ask for help

Tommy (Taurus): Patient, loves cooking, but can be stubborn

Junior (Cancer): Loyal, empathetic, family-first, sometimes insecure

Shirley (Leo): Confident, kindhearted, vain, generous

Carla (Libra): Charming, artistic, natural leader, easily impatient

While science may not back it up, the emotional connection people have to astrology is real. Whether it’s a cosmic truth or just fun conversation, people still love looking to the stars.
