Police in Glendale, California, are searching for a suspected wedding crasher who allegedly stole a gift box containing approximately $60,000 in cash and checks from a wedding reception. The incident occurred at the Renaissance Banquet Hall on Thursday (August 31) around 12:50 a.m. The suspect, described as a bald male around 40 years old of Middle Eastern or White descent with a medium build, fled the scene in a black Mercedes SUV.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect entering the venue, mingling with guests, and even ordering a drink before grabbing the gift box and exiting through a side door. The bride, Nadeen Farahat, expressed her distress, stating, "I ended up sitting on the dance floor sobbing with my friends and cousins around me."

The Los Angeles Times reported that the couple, originally from Jordan, did not have a wedding registry, as is traditional in their culture, and instead received cash and checks as gifts. The suspect's actions went largely unnoticed until a bridesmaid saw him take the box and alerted others, causing the music to stop and the celebration to come to a halt.

Glendale Police are actively investigating the theft and are urging anyone with information to contact them at (818) 548-3127. The newlyweds are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest, as reported by Fox News. Despite the theft, the couple is grateful that no one was harmed during the incident.
