A caller is in the process of buying a near-completed home in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, and the foundation is being retrofitted. He wants to know who is responsible for finishing the work — the buyer or seller?

Another caller is terrified for a relative whose home is exhibiting every bad sign of foundation damage, it's rumored to have been built over a creek — and possibly even a landfill!
