Watch Carrie Underwood Kick Off 2025 Season With Electrifying 'SNF' Theme

Carrie Underwood is “waiting all day for Sunday night” in her newly-premiered Sunday Night Football theme. The 2025 opening marks the Grammy-winning country star’s 13th consecutive season delivering the iconic performance.

Underwood performed the new Sunday Night Football opening at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she played “the longest-running Las Vegas residency [REFLECTION] of any solo female country artist,” between December 2021 and April 2025. Underwood reportedly makes $1 million every week when the theme song plays, totaling $18 million throughout the 18-week season. The former American Idol champion and current judge said in a previous press release from NBC Sports that “we had a blast shooting the new opening at The Resorts World Theatre again.

“As always, Tripp [creative director Tripp Dixon] and the creative team continue to raise the bar, bringing the high energy and stunning visuals that the Sunday Night Football audience has come to expect year after year,” she continued. Dixon added at that time that “for the 20th season of SNF, we wanted to set the tone for the night by reimagining the anthem sound in a way that plays to Carrie’s powerhouse vocals, while visually creating a seamless blend of stylized shots and behind-the-scenes moments evoking the national roadshow that is Sunday Night Football, week after week in the fall.”
