This is what dreams are made of! Hilary Duff officially has new music on the way.

On Tuesday (September 9), the Lizzie McGuire alum announced her return to music more than a decade after she released her last album. Duff's Breathe In. Breathe Out. came out in June 2015 and features the singles "Sparks," "Chasing the Sun" and "All About You."

Duff shared a set of photos on Instagram seemingly taken during the recording process, including a shot of her looking at suspected lyrics on her phone next to a pair of headphones and another sweet snap of her hugging her musician husband, Matthew Koma, from behind as he sat at a keyboard.

"new music ... or something," she captioned the post.

People reports that Duff's new music coincides with a docuseries that brings fans along on her journey "as she balances raising a family, recording new music, live show rehearsals, and preparing to perform on stage for the first time in over a decade," according to a press release. The series, directed and executive-produced by Sam Wrench, "will chronicle Duff's long-awaited musical return and personal journey, offering an unfiltered vignette into Hilary's world" through interviews, performances and personal videos.

Duff's announcement comes weeks after she reflected on her musical journey and shared throwback photos on Instagram in honor of the 22nd anniversary of her sophomore album Metamorphosis.

"I was embarking on something I had no idea would make such an impact on peoples lives, and mine. As much as I look back and think this album doesn't hold the emotional depth I look for today, I know my 14/15 year old self meant every word. It sure as hell also landed on people at the right moment in time and set me off on a pretty epic adventure," she wrote, adding, "Although these are distant memories for me, thank you for showing up the way that you did. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 To be continued..."
