Pasadena Humane has launched its "Poorly Drawn Pets" fundraiser, inviting pet lovers to support animal welfare through a lighthearted initiative running from September 15 to 18, 2025. For a suggested donation of $15, participants can receive a whimsical digital portrait of their pet, drawn by volunteers. According to Pasadena Now, the fundraiser encourages local residents to donate through the organization's Facebook post, where they can comment with a photo of their pet and its name.

The portraits, described as "pretty mediocre" by Pasadena Humane, will be posted online within approximately 24 hours. Despite the humorous nature of the drawings, the fundraiser aims to raise funds for the organization's shelter programs and services. NBC Los Angeles highlights that while some volunteers may surprise donors with their artistic talent, the focus remains on supporting animals in need.

Participants are encouraged to submit photos featuring one or two pets at most, and they can enter multiple times. The fundraiser ends on September 18 at noon, and all proceeds will benefit Pasadena Humane's efforts to care for animals.
