Deputy Shoots, Kills Child Porn Suspect In Seminole County

(Sanford, FL) --A man is dead after he was shot by a deputy in Seminole County. Longwood's Gary Guckenberger was shot yesterday outside his home on Hatfield Court. The retired firefighter was wanted on child porn charges. The sheriff's office says he was under surveillance when he left his home with a gun and encountered a deputy. According to the SCSO, Guckenberger reached for his weapon and was shot. The 68-year-old died at the scene. 

Volusia County Student Arrested For Alleged Threats

(DeLand, FL) --A Volusia County child is accused of threatening his classmates. The sheriff's office announced Tuesday that eleven-year-old Caiden Sanford was arrested in DeLand. The Southwestern Middle School student allegedly wrote a kill list on his desk. Deputies say Caiden told them he was angry and having a bad day. He's charged with a felony.

Orange County Judge Faces Punishment For Political Contributions

(Orlando, FL) --An Orange County judge could be punished for making political contributions. Documents released by a state board Tuesday show Judge Diana Tennis made over 900 contributions to candidates and nonprofits in the last nine years. Investigators say she admitted to donating almost 30-thousand dollars to Joe Biden, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and others. Judges aren't supposed to make political contributions. News Service of Florida reports the Florida Supreme Court could publicly reprimand Tennis.

Two Men Charged With Medicare Fraud

(Miami, FL) --Two South Florida men are accused of stealing millions of dollars from Medicare. The Justice Department announced yesterday Miami-Dade County's Kenneth Kessler, the Third and Broward County's Michael Gomez were indicted Friday. They allegedly submitted almost 35 million dollars in claims to Medicare for products that weren't medically necessary. The charges against the two include conspiracy to commit health care and wire fraud. They could each get up to 65 years in prison.

'Charlie Kirk Show' Producer Addresses South Park Episode

(Undated) -- An executive producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show" says the late conservative activist would have wanted Comedy Central to continue airing a "South Park" episode parody of him. The episode, called "Got a Nut," premiered last month and included a scene with Cartman appearing to dress as Kirk before engaging in a debate with a classmate. According to a post from Andrew Kolvet's X account, Kirk "loved that he was featured in South Park" and he added that his close friend "would want the episode back up." Paramount, which owns Comedy Central, pulled the episode from rotation but it remains available on Paramount Plus.

(Las Vegas, NV) --Music icons will be performing at this year's iHeartRadio Music Festival. The two-day festival starts Friday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with a stellar lineup that includes Ed Sheeran, GloRilla and Jelly Roll, and classic artists like Mariah Carey, Maroon 5 and Tim McGraw. The festival will broadcast live each night on iHeartMedia radio stations across the U.S. in over 150 markets. Performances will also be livestreamed on Hulu.
