I HATE LYING LIARS WHO LIE And yesterday during the show I discovered a FAKE social media account filling the void after @DobetterDNVR decided to delete the media accounts for reasons not fully explained yet. You guys came out like champs to help me shut down the faker, who I am pretty sure was going to get people to submit photos of homeless people only to out the person who sent them instead. After seeing this post pinned to the top yesterday, I knew we won, and now the account has been suspended by X.

But can we all use this as a lesson? They got over 800 people to unquestioningly follow them and I realize it's SO hard (and I'm not being sarcastic) to figure out what's real and what's not but we need to be better when it is something like this. @DobetterDNVR rattled enough cages to have a completely wrong expose done about them so it would stand to reason someone would try to profit from that somehow. I am hoping to have more info I can share on why the original account was taken down soon, but the Denver Gazette got the story mostly right here. I am declaring victory on this one.

DON'T GET EXCITED ABOUT YOUR TABOR REFUND Because after years of giving YOUR MONEY away to their pet causes Democrats have pretty much eliminated our TABOR refunds. This year they will be a measly double digits for most, with only the highest earners filing jointly cracking the 100 dollars mark. Those who rely on natural gas to heat their home could see an 8.4% jump in their bill, while those who use electricity could see a 10.2% increase.

Hmmm, interesting. Why is this? We're told in this story that it's because of data centers. Mmmkay again. But what about the move to unreliable renewable energy, all of which require complete backup systems that use reliable forms of energy? How about that?

AUTOMATED BALLS AND STRIKES ARE COMING TO MLB I love this. Umpires will still make the calls but teams will be given challenges for calls they don't like. I saw this in Spring Training this year and it solves a LOT of problems. In the challenges we saw in Spring Training the umpire was correct every time. It does eliminate arguing and MLB is expecting it to lower the number of ejections, a majority of which are related to balls and strikes calls.

A SOFT ON CRIME JUDGE IN DOUGCO IS BEING CALLED OUT And this is the case of a dangerous man who has been convicted of stalking and assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Judge Victoria Klingensmith decided that a 31 year old man was given probation after being found guilty. DA George Brauchler says this will prevent other victims from coming forward. He's not wrong. This judge is a Polis appointee, by the way. What did this man do?

Burrows, of Lakewood, was found guilty in February of strangling Cadwell at her Highlands Ranch home in 2023, according to prosecutors. The assault happened after Burrows accused Cadwell of "cheating on him," per the DA's office.

"She managed to escape to a neighbor's home and called for help," prosecutors said Thursday. Burrows was later arrested, but his trail of violence didn't stop there.

"The case against Burrows grew more concerning in 2024 when he strangled another person in El Paso County and threatened to kill him," the DA's office said.

He seems nice. Luckily for us another soft on crime judge has made sure he is out on the streets.

PLEASE DON'T RESORT TO EATING OUT OF BOXES I realize times are tight but the food that comes in boxes in the grocery store is the least healthy most of the time. This story about the increase in Hamburger Helper sales and other premade "just add" foods is really about tightening budgets. That being said, use the internet. Google "hamburger helper recipe" and you can make a super easy meal with REAL ingredients. I know everyone doesn't like to cook, but it's not that hard to put good and not expensive food in your belly.

TRUMP NEEDS TO SHUT UP ABOUT ABC AND KIMMEL This is where Trump really loses me. After Kimmel got his show back, here's an idea, don't watch it. I didn't. It was lovely. But Trump can't not. He took to Truth Social to put the network on blast.

Just stop. Stop it. His show would have probably been cancelled already if Trump would shut his mouth.
