Kim Kardashian Explains How Kris Jenner Tricked Her Into A Blind Date

Have you ever been on a date without actually knowing it was a date? Thanks to her mom, so has Kim Kardashian.

The SKIMS founder stopped by The Tonight Show on Wednesday (September 24) where she revealed to host Jimmy Fallon how her mother and famed momager, Kris Jenner, tricked her into going on a blind date by making her believe she was meeting up with someone about a job opportunity, per E! News.

"She told me to go to the restaurant The Ivy, and it was before we ever had Keeping Up with the Kardashians," she said. "And it was like this TV executive, and she told me it was a job interview, but she told him it was a date."

Kardashian came well prepared and was ready to answer any questions necessary to land the job, which she admitted her mom may have not anticipated.

"I pull up and I'm talking about what I want to do," she said. "I had a resume on me. I don't think she thought I would be so prepared to bring a resume."

The Kardashians star said it didn't take long until she "realized what was up" and she stashed her resume away. It also turns out that her date, who she didn't name but her mom hinted was "Emmy award-winning," wasn't as in the dark about encounter as she was, as Kris confirmed with an off-stage comment, "He totally knew."

While the date, unsurprisingly, didn't work out, Kardashian later struck up a romance with now-ex husband Kanye West. The former couple, who divorced in 2022 after seven years of marriage, share four children: North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.
