Same Questions About Mass Shootings in America

September 29, 2025

What is going on and what can we do about it?

Those two questions are being asked once again. After yet another deadly and senseless mass shooting.

This time during Sunday morning services at a Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in a small quiet town in Michigan.

And this same weekend, just the night before, there was a mass shooting at a waterfront restaurant in North Carolina.

Sadly, once again, acts of evil carried out by someone with a gun, a grudge, a sickness, a mental illness.

And the shooters in each one this weekend was reported to be 40 years old and U.S. military Iraq War veterans.

We want to know the motive, and investigators hope to. But even if we do, will it help us stop these terrible tragic mass shootings?

Most Americans are once again sickened by this latest mass shooting. Even to have to say “the latest” is part of the sad reality of the epidemic of these shootings in our country.

We can only hope and pray there will come a day when we stop asking the same questions and find answers.
