The death certificate for Celeste Rivas has been revealed, but it's sparking questions than answers as the investigation into the teen's death continues.
According to a report TMZ published on Monday, September 29, the L.A. County Medical Examiner has deferred the cause of death as they continue to work with the Los Angeles Police Department to determine how the 15-year-old died. The death certificate confirms that an autopsy was performed; however, the medical examiner is still waiting for toxicology results. Although her cause of death remains a mystery, the M.E. was able to confirm that Rivas was not pregnant at the time of her death or at any point during her disappearance.
The captain of the LAPD previously said the investigation into Rivas' death has been "complicated." Police haven't been able to determine if Rivas' death was the result of foul play, even though her dismembered body was found in the front truck of d4vd's Tesla earlier this month. The medical examiner's findings were supposed to help police indicate whether or not they were looking into a homicide, a drug overdose, or something else.
D4vd has yet to be named as a prime suspect, but he is cooperating with police as they continue their investigation. Authorities are currently looking into the nature of the 20-year-old singer's alleged relationship with Rivas. The two have been seen in photos and videos together within the past year. They have matching tattoos, and d4vd was spotted in Rivas' hometown of Lake Elsinore, Calif., shortly before she disappeared. The home where d4vd lived with his manager, Josh Marshall, was recently searched by investigators, who believed Rivas could've been killed inside.
