Young Thug Confirms Mariah The Scientist Broke Up With Him

Young Thug and Mariah The Scientist are no longer together.

The Atlanta rapper confirmed that the "Burning Blue" singer broke up with him on Tuesday night, September 30, while he was on a livestream with Adin Ross. The couple had been together since 2021 and remained an item even after Thug was arrested and sent to jail in connection with the YSL RICO case. Mariah visited Thug in jail several times and was right by his side when he was released last year. Unfortunately, it looks like their relationship is done for good.

"I got broke up with n***a," Thugger told Ross. "But I still got a girl though."

Young Thug and Mariah The Scientist, born Mariah Buckles, ran into some trouble shortly after Thug was released from jail. A series of phone calls from his time in jail leaked on social media last month, which revealed a slew of private conversations between Thug, Mariah, and other associates. In one of the calls, Thug admitted to cheating on Mariah right before he was arrested in 2022. Another recording revealed that Thug spoke to another woman about having his children. Soon after the leaks, Thug issued a public apology to Mariah.

"My baby I was wrong and I’m sorry for what I put u through," he wrote on X. "U deserved better from me. Thank you for everything and I will do anything to make this work. U showed me what love is and I hope I haven’t lost u forever… everybody leave her out of this please she’s an innocent girl and feels bad about all of this. Please give her peace."

Soon after his apology, Thug wrote "Chapter ended" with a heart emoji, which was the first clue about the end of their relationship. As of this report, Mariah The Scientist has yet to comment on the situation. She's been focused on her new album Hearts Sold Separately and her upcoming tour, which kicks off later this month.
