LeAnn Rimes Shares Whether She'd Work With Her Husband, Actor Eddie Cibrian

LeAnn Rimes opened up about whether she’d work with her husband of more than a decade, actor Eddie Cibrian, as she gets ready for the season premiere of 9-1-1: Nashville.

The Grammy-winning artist will play Dixie Bennings in the upcoming action drama. Rimes said in a new interview with US Weekly, published on Tuesday (October 7), that “we love working together. We’ve definitely talked about writing some stuff for us to do together in the future. We are one of those couples that can actually work together fairly easily and still go home and not hate each other.

“He’s keeping a sense of humor in this massive transition when his wife is becoming a different person,” she said of Cibrian’s support. “Just having that levity is super helpful because I’m not one to joke about it. He pulls me back out of it into this lighter realm.”

Rimes is getting ready to debut her newest character, Dixie Bennings, when 9-1-1: Nashville premiers this week. The singer-songwriter told US Weekly that the role allowed her to “let out a side of myself that doesn’t ever come out in real life, so it’s very healing in that way.” 9-1-1: Nashville also stars Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz and Hunter McVey, plus The High Road artist Kane Brown as a guest star.

ABC previously described the the newest 9-1-1 installment as “a high-octane procedural about heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities.” 9-1-1: Nashville is set to premiere on Thursday (October 9). It will air on ABC and stream the next day on Hulu.
