Jennifer Aniston is speaking her truth.

In a new interview with Harper's Bazaar UK published Wednesday (October 8), the Morning Show star slammed critics who claim she is "selfish" for not having children and who think she put too much focus on her career, per E! News. She also addressed her years-long struggles with fertility that she kept out of the public eye because "that's not anybody's business."

"They didn't know my story, or what I'd been going through over the past 20 years to try to pursue a family, because I don't go out there and tell them my medical woes," she said.

However, the constant criticism and personal attacks had an impact on the 56-year-old Friends actress, who previously penned an op-ed for the Huffington Post in 2016 calling out the way women were treated in the media.

"But there comes a point when you can't not hear it — the narrative about how I won't have a baby, won't have a family, because I'm selfish, a workaholic," she said. "It does affect me — I'm just a human being. We're all human beings."

Aniston has been open about her "challenging" journey to get pregnant in the past, admitting in 2022 that the media scrutiny was "really hard" while she was "throwing everything" she could into trying to conceive, from In Vitro Fertilization to special teas. She also slammed "lies" that her marriages ended because she wouldn't have a child. Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2017.

"[The] narrative that I was just selfish. I just cared about my career. And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn't have a child," she said at the time. "And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn't give him a kid. It was absolute lies."
