Stephen A. Smith Criticized for Remarks About Rep. Jasmine Crockett

Stephen A. Smith is under fire after criticizing Texas State Representative Jasmine Crockett on his podcast. Crockett has been outspoken in her condemnation of Donald Trump, and Smith took issue with her approach.

On the podcast, he said, “I’m just going to go off about Trump, cuss him out every chance I get, say the most derogatory incendiary things imaginable, and that’s my day’s work? That ain’t work.”

Social media users quickly responded, pointing out that Trump has insulted Rep. Crockett on several occasions, calling her unqualified and questioning her intelligence. Supporters of Crockett argue that Smith failed to consider the context of her comments and is tone-policing a Black woman standing up for herself.
