KISS guitarist Ace Frehley is reportedly on life support after suffering a bran bleed.
Frehley, 74, apparently suffered the brain bleed weeks ago, when he fell in his studio, unnamed sources confirmed to TMZ on Thursday afternoon (October 16). The celebrity news hub notes that Frehley’s health has not gotten better since then, and he remains on life support in the hospital as of publication time.
A post on the guitarist and founding KISS member’s Instagram account earlier this month announced that “Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates,” citing “some ongoing medical issues.” Another post in late September stated that “Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital. He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time.” He canceled his performance that was scheduled for the following day, and he looked “forward to continuing on his tour and finishing work on his next album, 'Origins Vol. 4,’” the statement concluded.
KISS debuted in the early 1970s and went on to become known for “Rock And Roll All Nite,” “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” and more throughout the group’s decades-long career. Frehley was a founding member alongside bandmates Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and Peter Criss.
