R. Kelly’s Infamous “Chocolate Factory” Mansion Sells for $1.6M

October 16, 2025

The mansion once dubbed R. Kelly’s “Chocolate Factory” has officially sold for $1.6 million. Located in the Chicago suburb of Olympia Fields, the 21,000-square-foot estate was once where R. Kelly recorded hits—and allegedly committed crimes that led to his conviction.

The property was bought out of foreclosure in 2013 by Rudolph and Elaine Isley (of The Isley Brothers) for just $587,500. Despite renovations that included a jungle-themed indoor pool and a Chicago Bulls-themed bedroom, the home’s notorious past made it difficult to sell.

After years on the market and sky-high property taxes, the house has finally changed hands, closing a controversial chapter in music history.
