10/20/25 Blog: Go On Vacation With Me! Plus No Kings Brings .66% Of Voters
October 20, 2025
FIRST OFF, HOLY COW BRONCOS! Are they TRYING to give us all heart attacks???? I will admit after the Keystone cops series in of the third quarter I left the room. Chuck called me back in for the good parts. Good grief, this team. But 5-2 doesn't care about my nerves. The big question is why does it take being down 19 for three quarters for the stupid offense to show up? Read this for three takeaways from the game.
GO ON VACATION WITH ME! Because this trip is a humdinger. We are starting off in my FAVORITE country, which is Switzerland, and then sailing the Rhine river to Amsterdam on the Emerald Dawn. My friend Doug from Cruise and Tour is joining me today at 1 to tell you all about it, and you can find out more and get the number to sign up by clicking here. This trip is ALREADY HALF SOLD to previous travelers so don't delay on this one.
NO KINGS WAS A POINTLESS SOCIAL EVENT And I've now looked at lots of photos including this one posted by one Mr. Kyle Clark on X:
No Kings Denver speaker Joe Salazar (fmr Dem state rep) tells me they estimate 25-30k gathered in Denver today, similar to the No Kings protest earlier this year. This view is from photographer Cheney Orr for the New York Times. #copolitics pic.twitter.com/CeM7Da8Qa0

Look impressive, doesn't it? But if you take the high estimate, that's .66% of Colorado voters. If you assume the 7 million nationwide that's just over 4% of voters. Big effing deal. It was a bunch of white liberals, still salty their team tried to cheat and still lost, showing up for a social event just to say they were there. Don't believe me? This guy gets it:

But to the LEFT it was EVERYTHING, where they go to come out and play fun games with their kids!

That reminded me of something, oh yeah, this.
You know what I didn't see? Free Palestine signs. I wonder why? I've been thinking a lot about this "protest" and it's exactly like the other "protest" where a bunch of liberal women knitted hats shaped like their vaginas and marched around performatively accomplishing nothing. Essentially I hope they feel better today. The way the media slavishly covers this and ignores an ANNUAL massive pro-life protest of millions full of young people tells me everything I already knew about them. This is another nothing burger. Except you have out of control leftists wanting ICE agents to get "wiped out".
EXCLUSIVE: Yesterday in Chicago, on the perimeter of the NO KINGS rally, an activists speaking in front of a Progressive Labor Party sign exclaims, “You gotta grab a gun, we gotta turn around the guns on this fascist system. These ICE agents gotta get shot and wiped out. The same… pic.twitter.com/zKkiyVKe9J

I'm sure he will be blamed as a right wing provocateur. I'm sure. Police arrested 12 people in Denver, I'm sure they will sue for millions over the paper cut they say they got while being fingerprinted. Trump responded on Truth Social in a way sure to infuriate the participants.

ERBODY'S A RACIST TO DENVER"S PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD Remember when Board member Tay Anderson called Latina board member Gaytan racist? Good times. The board's obsession with calling others racist is longstanding and the accusations generally fly when someone is talking to someone who is a minority who doesn't want to do what's asked. Now we have an entire story on the dysfunction that is the Denver Public Schools Board. Lord have mercy vote some of these people out, please. This is who I would vote for if I could: Alex Magaña, Timiya Jackson, Caron Blanke, and Mariana del Hierro.
IT'S TIME TO FLIP THAT BOARD And Jimmy Sengenberger explains here why and the how. Again, vote for Alex Magaña, Timiya Jackson, Caron Blanke, and Mariana del Hierro, they are the best hope we've got right now. He joins me at 2:30 to discuss.
BIKE ACTIVISTS GET NASTY AS BIKE DEATHS RISE We've made downtown undrivable and yet pedestrian and bicycle deaths have gone up. But that's not enough apparently for bike advocates who are using dirty tactics against businesses who dared to point out that the new restrictions are killing their businesses. The activists use one star reviews, doxxing and other foul methods to shut up anyone who doesn't like what they are demanding. Funny, that's how a king would act, amiright? Do whatever you want and use any method necessary to shut down dissent? Yep.
MEDICAID COSTS HAVE SKYROCKETED AS PREAUTHORIZATION HAS DECLINED Imagine being surprised that when you add a ton of benefits and do away with any gatekeeping that costs would skyrocket. Oh, you don't have to imagine, they did it in Colorado. When they did away with the pre authorization part of therapy use skyrocketed so much that they had to add it back. Of course it did, being in therapy is cool now. Read it here.
BENNET AND WEISER RAISE BIG MONEY And I have to give it to Phil Weiser, he is not listening to folks who are writing him off in this primary. He is crushing fundraising totals and has more cash on hand the Bennet does right now. Barb Kirkmeyer is the biggest fundraising Republican, though she raised a tiny drop in the bucket compared to the money flowing to the two Democrats. Read more here. I think fundraising matters as a measure of how these candidates are doing in terms of support, but obviously one does not need to outspend to win, though it certainly helps as we've seen Polis buy multiple seats. I asked my assistant Chat to tell me how much of Polis's own money he's used to buy seats get elected and this is what it found:
Office/ Year/ Approximate own money spent
Colorado State Board of Education
2000
~ $1 million (when he first ran)
U.S. House (CO-2)
2008
~ $6 million (to win)
Governor of Colorado – first term
2018
~ $22.3 million (personal investment) (The Colorado Sun)
Governor of Colorado – re-election
2022
~ $12.6 million (his own money) (The Colorado Sun)
That's $41.9 million if your adding things up.
HEY TRANSPLANTS, DO YOU MISS ANY OF THESE CHAINS? There are two on here I love: Zaxby's and Hattie B's Hot Chicken. But what chains do you miss from where you came from? Or maybe you had on vacation. I do love the Tim Horton's as well. The one I miss the most is Krystal though. Dang I miss those tiny burgers.
AURORA IS MAKING BIG STRIDES IN CRIME FIGHTING And the Chief of Police is quick to point to crime prevention by using data to tell cops where they need to be BEFORE they are actually needed to respond to crime. Read it here, because the crime rate drops are SIGNIFICANT. Go Aurora!
THE SCIENCE OF THE JUMP SCARE CU-Boulder has been studying what being scared does to our brain and it's very interesting. The long and short is that when we are jump scared, or startled, by something we percieve as dangerous only to find out that it's not dangerous at all it can actually desensitize us to that kind of fear, so maybe we could use it to help people overcome trauma or PTS of some sort. Read it here.
JAY NORVELL IS OUT AT CSU In a weekend that saw a homecoming loss for the Rams. Read it here.
GET THE LEAD OUT....OF YOUR CINNAMON I realize folks are on a budget, but don't buy your spices at Dollar Tree. Just saying. They are one of the brands being recalled for excessive amounts of lead in the cinnamon. And please add "cinnamon" to the list of words I can't spell right the first time ever.
THANKS TO COLORADO BAPTIST DISASTER RELIEF For helping out the folks in Nederland who lost their only grocery store in that big fire a couple of weeks ago. These folks brought mobile laundry to replace the town's only laundromat.
HAMAS BROKE THE CEASEFIRE And Israel responded in a very restrained way, of course. Then Israel announced they were back to following the cease fire and Hamas was like "whoops those were rebels". We'll see if it holds up for this week. Even the Washington Post knows that Hamas is the problem now. Read this:
Before the ink even dried on the latest ceasefire agreement, Hamas enforcers emerged from their underground dens, fresh-faced, well-fed and clad in clean uniforms. Hamas declared war on at least four Palestinian clans, several of which are thought to have been cooperating with Israel. Clips of Hamas commissars executing bound men in the middle of the street, or shooting suspected thieves in the legs, have circulated widely.
And that’s just what has been out in the open. On Saturday, the State Department warned that it has “credible reports” that Hamas is planning an attack on Palestinian civilians and warned that “measures will be taken to protect the people of Gaza and preserve the integrity of the ceasefire.” What that might look like remains unclear. Both Turkey and Qatar, other guarantors of the peace deal, envision a role for Hamas in a future Palestinian state. They are unlikely to want to confront it directly, even though the group stokes the fires of a Palestinian civil war.
Weird how they have plenty to eat when Palestinians are starving, huh? It's almost like the Israelis were telling the truth when they said Hamas was stealing aid and hiding in in the tunnels they wouldn't let civilians into. Weird.
FOX 31'S KYLIE BEARSE IS LIVING A NIGHTMARE And the part of this story that made my jaw DROP was this:
“It hits me that it is him,” Bearse said. She closed her garage door and rushed inside. The man went to her front door, rang the doorbell. Bearse grabbed her dog, called 911 and fled out the back door. It was just after 11 a.m. on a Thursday.
The man was still sitting in his truck outside her house, unarmed, when Denver police officers arrested him around noon, according to a police report, which noted that Bearse was “visibly shaken and afraid.”
Does this mean the response time for Denver Police on a man who has violated a permanent restraining order is ONE HOUR???? WTF, Denver PD??? The fact she is being stalked at all is horrifying. If anyone knows Kylie please tell her I will be happy to take her to the range to learn how to shoot. When cops are an hour away....
