Brandy is speaking out following her sudden departure from the stage during a concert with Monica on Saturday, October 18th at Chicago's United Center. The duo was performing on their co-headlining "The Boy Is Mine Tour" when Brandy unexpectedly left the stage, leaving fans without a performance of their iconic duet, "The Boy Is Mine."
The following day, Brandy took to Instagram explaining that her early exit was due to dehydration and feeling faint after weeks of intense rehearsals. She wrote, "Thank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and—most importantly—your prayers. I sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night's performance in Chicago." She added that prioritizing her well-being was crucial, and despite her efforts to return to the stage, technical challenges made it difficult to continue.
Brandy expressed gratitude towards Monica for handling the situation with grace and professionalism. She also mentioned seeking medical care locally and assured fans she would be back on stage for the next concert in Indianapolis on Sunday, October 19th. The tour will resume after a three-day break, with the next performance scheduled in Nashville on October 24th.
Fans expressed disappointment on social media about the abrupt end to the concert and the lack of communication at the venue. However, Brandy emphasized her commitment to returning stronger and more grateful than ever, alongside Monica.
