See First Glimpse Of Lainey Wilson In New 'Reminders Of Him' Trailer

Lainey Wilson appears in the newly-debuted trailer for Reminders of Him, an upcoming film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2022 novel.
Kenna, the main character of the romance-drama, “makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison.” She returns to her Wyoming hometown seven years later with hopes of reconnecting with her young daughter, Diem. However, Diem’s “custodial grandparents adamantly refuse,” per the movie’s description. Kenna develops a “secret romance” with local bar owner, Ledger, which leads her to “heartbreak and, ultimately, the hope for a second chance.”
Wilson appears in a scene with Maika Monroe, who plays Kenna, in the trailer that released on Tuesday (October 21). The 59th CMA Awards host, who made her acting debut in Yellowstone, asked the protagonist, “what’s your trauma?”
“I can’t get a job because I just got out of prison,” Monroe replied.
“Sh*t, you win,” Wilson declared.
“This was the first opportunity I’ve had where I wasn’t a musician,” Wilson said of her upcoming role in a previous interview with iHeartCountry. “And so, I had said after I did Yellowstone, I was like, ‘OK, the next thing I do, I’d like to kind of step outside of my comfort zone and try something I’ve never done.’ So, this gave me an opportunity to do that, and it was fun. It was, you know, I’m not gonna say easy, but it was like a fun challenge. And I’m excited to do more of it, whatever that looks like.”
Jennifer Robertson, Bradley Whitford, Lauren Graham, Tyriq Withers, Rudy Pankow, Nicholas Duvernay and others also appear in the cast of the film, which is directed by Vanessa Caswill. Reminders of Him is set to premiere in theaters on March 13.
