Last month, James Vickery released his brand new album JAMES, and this month, the UK singer/songwriter embarked on his North American Tour.

JAMES includes twelve new songs, including singles "All In," "Right Side," "Butter" and "Hotel Lobby," and a guest appearance from BIA.

In a statement, Vickery explained of his self-titled project, "This album is me, fully. Every record I’ve made up to now was about chasing perfection - this one's about letting go and being honest. JAMES is the sound of me growing into who I am, flaws and all. 'Fall In Your Arms' is the heart of it - it’s vulnerable, it's stripped back, and it’s the first time I’ve ever really said, 'I'm safe here.'"

In "Fall In Your Arms," Vickery sings about the safety he feels with another person, singing, "For just one moment, oh, I know in just one breath/ I'm home, I finally feel safe/ 'Cause you're here by my side/ I need it night and day /And all my problems drift away."

In case you're unfamiliar with James' story, he is completely deaf in one ear due to a life-threatening cholesteatoma that he was diagnosed with at the young age of eight. A cholesteatoma is a non-cancerous skin-lined cyst that can form in the middle ear, and can cause hearing loss amongst other symptoms. But despite his diagnosis, a vocal coach originally hired to help with speech quickly discovered James' incredible vocal ability.

Vickery recently kicked off his world tour in North America in early October in Seattle, Washington, and is making his way across the US and Canada, stopping in cities including New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Toronto, before moving over to Europe at the end of November.
