Girl, 13, Bit Man To Escape Kidnapping Attempt As She Walked To School

In Galveston, Texas, a 13-year-old girl bravely thwarted a kidnapping attempt by biting her attacker twice. The incident occurred early Monday (October 27) morning as she was walking to Central Middle School. According to the Galveston Police Department, the girl was approached and grabbed from behind by an unknown man near her family's apartment.
The girl managed to break free after a brief struggle and ran directly to her school, where she reported the incident to school officials. The police were promptly contacted, and upon arrival, they met with the girl to gather details about the attempted abduction. Fortunately, the girl did not sustain any injuries during the encounter.
The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic man wearing a black short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and possibly a ski mask. Surveillance footage from a nearby business captured the suspect following the girl along her route to school.
The Galveston Police Department is actively searching for the suspect and has reached out to local medical facilities to check for any patients with bite-related injuries. They urge anyone with information about the suspect to contact them at 409-763-3777.
