Drake showed some love to his home team after the Toronto Blue Jays lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the final game of the World Series.
On Sunday, November 2, Drizzy took to Instagram and reacted to the outcome of the 2025 World Series. He posted a video of himself playing his Stake games while seated at Rogers Centre in Toronto, which is where Game 7 was held. While taking a break from gambling, Drake sorts through his apps and lands on a white screen with a red button. Once he presses the button, the roof of the Rogers Centre opens up.
"Congrats to the Jays for a dream season and a legendary World Series fight!!!" Drake wrote in his caption. "S**t got so sticky I had to take a break from @stake and get some air…"
Drake's reaction was posted after fans and trolls compared this year's World Series to the Canadian rapper's battle with Kendrick Lamar. The jokes and memes began shortly before the MLB's championship series kicked off on October 24. The Dodgers and Blue Jays were tied 3-3 by the time they got to Game 7. By the top of the 11th inning, both teams were tied 4-4. It was Dodgers' catcher Will Smith who hit the final home run that ended the series. As soon as they won, the Dodgers' social accounts used references to Drake's "Back To Back" and Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" to claim victory.
"THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS ARE BACK-TO-BACK WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!" one post said. "THEY STILL NOT LIKE US. #WORLDSERIES"

Nike also made some not-so-subtle references to the beef in their ad. After the series ended, they aired a commercial that used Kendrick Lamar's "Squabble Up." Watch the clip below.
