New York Jets running back Breece Hall shared a since-deleted post addressing the team's surprising trades involving Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and cornerback Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner on his X account Tuesday (November 4) minutes after the NFL's trade deadline.
"Sick about my bruddas man happy for them but man im sick rn," Hall wrote before the post was deleted minutes later.
The running back also shared a gif of actor Anthony Anderson behind a column from the film Life prior to the trade deadline. Jets head coach Aaron Glenn previously denied rumors that the team was attempting to shop Hall after months of speculation during his press conference on October 15.
Hall, 24, told reporters that he didn't want to be traded on October 10 ahead of the Jets' Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos in London before sharing a cryptic post on the day of the game.
"They want me to lay down but I got sum to stand for… 🚶🏾♂️➡️#Free20," Hall wrote on his Instagram account.
Williams, a First-team All-Pro in 2022 and a Pro Bowler during each of the last three seasons, was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick and defensive tackle Mazi Smith. Gardner, the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, as well as a First-Team All-Pro and Pro Bowler during each of his first two NFL seasons, was traded to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for two first-round picks.
The Jets are currently 1-7, having now traded two of their best defensive players, amid a 14-year playoff drought.
