Sean "Diddy" Combs found a new friend while behind bars, and it's a former pro athlete that he's known for years.
In photos TMZ published on Monday, November 3, Combs was seen chopping it up with former NBA star Sebastian Telfair in the yard of FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. He wore a grey beanie, sweatpants, a navy blue jacket, and black sneakers. The Bad Boy Records founder flashed a huge grin as he laughed and talked with Telfair while in a group of other convicts over the weekend. Shortly after the photos leaked, 50 Cent shared his reaction on Instagram.
Combs and Telfair are the most famous inmates at Fort Dix at the moment. According to Yahoo Sports, Telfair was ordered to serve six months after "failing to meet the terms of his supervised release in a health fraud case." He was previously sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release after taking a plea agreement in a case of defrauding the NBA's Players Health and Welfare Benefit Plan by using fake invoices. U.S. District Judge Valerie E. Caproni accused Telfair of failing to fulfill his community service requirement and dodging meetings with his probation officer.
The disgraced music mogul was sentenced to serve 50 months in prison after he was convicted of violating the Mann Act. As part of his sentence, Combs will serve at least three years behind bars for time served and must be on supervised release for five years. He's also required to pay a $500,000 fine.
