50 Cent couldn't resist commenting on Zohran Mamdani after the Democratic nominee was elected as the new Mayor of New York City.
On Tuesday, November 4, Mamdani claimed victory after New Yorkers voted for him to become the new Mayor over candidates like former Governor Andrew Cuomo and current Mayor Eric Adams. After the results were confirmed, Mamdani walked out on stage at Brooklyn’s Paramount Theatre to the tune of Ja Rule's 2004 hit "New York" and gave his acceptance speech. Mamdani's victorious entrance caught the attention of 50 Cent, who clearly did not vote for the Democratic Socialist.

"Of course he would walk out to that fool," 50 Cent wrote in his caption. "His plan doesn’t affect him ,he ain’t getting no money. 😟LOL @50centaction meet me in SHREVEPORT 🎥"
50 Cent began criticizing Mamdani shortly after he learned that he had won the race. In another Instagram post, Fif included a photo of his New York Yankees cap in what appears to be a trash bin. He followed with an AI-generated image of a tombstone with the words "RIP N.Y.C." on it.
"New York is over pack it up, let’s go !" he wrote. "THE MAN’S First job is Mayor MAMDANI run New York."
50 Cent has previously claimed he's "afraid of politics," but has no problem voicing his opinions about political candidates during important races. He seemingly supported President Donald Trump's victory when he famously posted "I'm leaving with the winner" following his reelection last year. However, he also turned down $3 million to perform at an inauguration event at Madison Square Garden and has worked with Democratic politicians in the past.
