Jake Owen shared a sentimental message in the hours ahead of his new album’s release.
Owen posted his reaction to support from fans, friends, his team and others in a clip on Instagram on Thursday evening (November 6). He said, in part, “sometimes we can all be a little tough on ourselves, and it’s moments like this that I just want you to know, whether it’s me or whether it’s anyone in life, just remind people sometimes that you’re proud of them and you love them. It’s lifted me up to a place that I can’t thank you guys enough.” Owen released his 13-track album Dreams to Dream, on Friday (November 7), nearly two decades into his career in music. The long-awaited project includes the title track, “Them Old Love Songs” with Savannah Conley (a nod to late legend Waylon Jennings), “Long Time Lovin’ You,” and more.
“I’ve been doing something special over the last few months that has been an absolute dream for me,” Owen said earlier this year of the project made with friend and record producer Shooter Jennings in Los Angeles, California. He credited photographer Ryan Smith with “capturing moments of my life that are ingrained in my mind,” he wrote in the caption on Instagram. “I can’t wait to share the journey, the story, and what came of it. I’m really grateful for the people who believe in me and the friends I have. I’m so fired up to share this with you.”
