Of all the beautiful things that Benson Boone has got, a nomination for the 2026 Grammy Awards isn't one of them, and he had the best response to the snub.

On Monday (November 10), the 23-year-old singer shared his reaction to the news that he was left off the list of nominees for the 68th annual Grammy Awards after they were announced last week. He was previously honored at the 2025 Grammys with a Best New Artist nod, an award that was ultimately presented to Chappell Roan.

Boone reacted to the snub with a stone-faced selfie shared to his Instagram Stories alongside a tongue-in-cheek message about his "lyrical genius" not being honored, per People.

"Can't believe moonbeam ice cream didn't get a Grammy nom it's literally pure lyrical genius," he wrote, referencing a fan-favorite lyric from his song "Mystical Magical." The hit track was featured on his 2025 sophomore album American Heart, which also included singles "Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else" and "Mr Electric Blue."

While Boone didn't score any nominations for the 2026 Grammys, other artists had better luck. Kendrick Lamar topped the list of nominees, earning nine nods total, while Lady Gaga and producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut each received seven. Check out the full list of nominees ahead of the ceremony on February 1.
