MONSTA X Returns With Emotional New Single 'Baby Blue'

MONSTA X is back with a brand-new English-language single, "Baby Blue," marking their first release since dropping their September EP The X.
"Baby Blue" leans into a smooth electro-pop sound, revealing a softer, more reflective side of the group. In the chorus, they linger on the ache of nostalgia: "You dance like I remember, baby blue / Still looks good, it always did on you / Oh, and there’s no easy way to lose / A love that you get used to."
The song arrives alongside a striking, cinematic music video that places the members in dramatic and symbolic scenarios — including underwater sequences and scenes depicting emotional restraint — adding visual weight to the song's themes of longing and loss.
"Baby Blue" also marks MONSTA X's return as a full six-member group for the first time in four years. Since 2021, members have been completing mandatory military service, with Hyungwon recently discharged in May. The youngest member, I.M, is expected to enlist later this year, though a date has yet to be announced.
During the staggered enlistment period, MONSTA X continued releasing music with the active members, most notably their 2021 English-language album The Dreaming. Now reunited, the group steps into a new chapter with "Baby Blue."
