Bengals lose again, offense scores one TD, gives up two

How about that performance coming off a bye? Bengals fall to 3-7.

Defense allowed “just” 20…but missed more tackles, gave up countless 3rd and 10+ conversions and generally looked out of position too often.

The offense scored one TD and allowed two. They offered little after an opening drive TD. Joe Flacco had a Pick 6. Noah Fant fumbled into a 4th quarter scoop and score. 

It was a coaching/game management disaster for Zac Taylor. Plays consistently sent in late. Timeouts burned. Down 2 scores in 4th, burned 2 TO, wasted time on 12 play/47 yard 5:56 FG drive? 

It just wouldn't be accepted in most NFL cities. If I hear 'accountability' one more time I'm going to puke.

Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey was ejected in the 4th after throwing punches vs Chase. 

Flow: Trailed 7-0, trailed 7-6, 10-6 at half, 20-9 to 4th, 20-12. 27-12, 34-12.   

Offense:

Total yards 297, 192 passing, 105 rushing. 1st meeting: 470-328-142….33 points.

9-71 yard opening drive TD answer. 1st since Week 1.

Failed 2 point conversion after Steelers penalty 1st TD (Wild Cat snap Brown).

Joe Flacco: 23-40-199, TD, INT, Sack, QB rating 68.6. Looked like his shoulder was hurting. In 3rd QT FG range, 74-yard Pick 6.

Tee Higgins: 3-63, 28-yard TD

Ja’Marr Chase: 3-30 

Andrei Iosivas big early 3rd down catches. Drop. 

Chase Brown: 18-99. 15 & 35-yard run, 17 yard catch. 4th straight game 100+ total yards. 

Defense: 343 yards, 232 passing, 111 rushing, allowed 5.7 yards per play. 

Opening drive TD: 8 plays, 78 yards, 4:48. 

Mason Rudolph took over for injured Aaron Rodgers (hand) to start the 2nd half. 

Forced 3 straight punts 1st/2nd QT 

Barrett Carter = really, really, really poor day 

How can a team be so poor at tackling in space?

Geno Stone: was he even trying? I’d play w/ 10 before playing him.
