It's time

November 17, 2025

Zac Taylor never had the chops to be a successful NFL head coach.

He’s always looked like the guy on the sideline wondering when everyone would figure out he really had no business being there.

He’s certainly never been good with adjustments, or game management.

Despite continually being overwhelmed in moments of chaos, he’s stubbornly insisted on continuing to call plays. Plays that he too often struggles to get to his QB on time.

In reality, Taylor was gifted a quarterback.

Since then, he’s been carried by Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

But I did always give him credit for his message crafting, and his keen ability to disarm the media. He can make you feel good about an answer, despite it offering no depth or real solutions.

I do feel sorry for him.

He’s a guy you’d enjoy having a beer with, or talking with across the fence as your neighbor.

But he's forced to be the face and explainer of all for his organization.

And he's been handcuffed by his de facto general manager

But what’s become clear at this point, is the most damning thing for Taylor:

He’s clearly out of messages. He no longer even knows what to say.

So, he’s got nothing left to offer.

Make no mistake, Taylor’s far from the biggest problem in this organization.

But he is the easiest to move on from.

And the hamster wheel will keep turning.
