Man Arrested For Deadly Shooting In Brevard County

>>Titusville, FL) --A man is in custody after a deadly shooting in Brevard County. The sheriff's office announced yesterday Port St. John's Tyjah Bellinger was arrested for the shooting that killed Lendzi Lakeman. It happened Friday in Port St. John on Carlow Ave. Bellinger was her boyfriend, and he's charged with first-degree premeditated murder. 

Miami-Dade Mayoral Candidate Arrested

(Miami, FL) --A man running for mayor in Miami-Dade County is facing criminal charges. Victor Rosario was arrested Saturday in Brickell for aggravated battery on a police officer and resisting an officer with violence. He's being held without bond. 

Tampa Woman Plans To Self-Deport Upon TPS Expiration

(Tampa, FL) --A change in her immigration status is causing a Tampa woman to make a life-altering decision. The 38-year-old Venezuelan woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been in the US for 11 years under Temporary Protected Status and has even started a business. She's planning to self-deport, though, now that her TPS expired last week. She says she loves it here, and it breaks her heart to say goodbye, but she doesn't want to stay here illegally. She tells Tampa Bay 28 that's not an option for her. 

Predatory FL Real Estate Brokerage Settles With Oregon

(Salem, OR) --The State of Oregon has reached a settlement with a Florida-based real estate brokerage that used deceptive and coercive marketing to trap homeowners in 40-year agreements. MV Realty would pay homeowners a few hundred dollars in exchange for an agreement to sell their house. The agreement lasted 40 years and would charge them thousands if they tried to get out of it or get an equity loan. MV Realty will release 669 active homeowner agreements and pay the Department of Justice 150-thousand-dollars. If they make nine months of 10-thousand-dollar payments, the rest of the fine would be waived.

Man In Critical Condition After Swallowing Burger Whole

(Koropi) -- A 22-year-old man is in critical condition in Greece after attempting to swallow a burger whole. The ambitious eater, whose name has not been released, made the attempt during a meal with friends on Thursday, and he has since been placed on a ventilator. The man reportedly stopped breathing for two minutes, and his airways were obstructed, leading to severe complications affecting his brain, kidneys, and other organs. Local police are investigating the incident and are seeking footage from the restaurant to determine if anyone encouraged the man to attempt the stunt.

Most Popular Thanksgiving Side Dish Revealed

(Undated) -- The most popular Thanksgiving side dish in America is being revealed. According to the survey "State of the Sides" by Campbell's, stuffing remains the most popular side dish this Thanksgiving. Mashed potatoes came in second place, followed by sweet potatoes, mac-and-cheese, and green bean casserole. The survey says 63-percent of American's prefer sides over turkey and nearly half say they would be happy with no turkey at all and just a plate full of sides.
