Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers reportedly won't need surgery on his fractured left wrist after undergoing additional tests on Monday (November 17) and is pushing to play in Sunday's (November 23) game against the Chicago Bears, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport on Tuesday (November 18).

"Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers underwent further tests Monday that confirmed he won’t need surgery on his fractured left wrist, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Rodgers is pushing to play Sunday at Chicago. But doctors must clear him and his status moving forward is TBD," Pelissero wrote on his X account.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed that Rodgers, 41, wouldn't need surgery during his press conference on Tuesday.

"Really it's just about bracing it and securing it for his comfort and safety, and then it's about how functional he is." Tomlin said via Pelissero.

Rodgers sustained the injury during the third quarter of the Steelers' 34-12 win against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday (November 16) and was replaced by veteran backup Mason Rudolph for the remainder of the game. Rodgers threw for 116 yards and one touchdown on 9 of 15 passing, while Rudolph threw for 127 yards and one touchdown on 12 of 16 passing.

Rodgers signed a one-year deal with the Steelers this past offseason ahead of what many suspect could be the last of his 21-year NFL career. The four-time NFL MVP spent his first 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers and has a 24-5 regular-season and 1-0 postseason record against the NFC North Divisional rival Bears.
