Georgia moved into the top 4 in the Week 13 College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings announced during a live ESPN broadcast Tuesday (November 18) night.
The Bulldogs moved up one spot from No. 5 overall in Week 12 following their 35-10 win against the Texas Longhorns, who dropped seven spots to No. 17 overall. The Alabama Crimson Tide dropped six spots to No. 10 overall following a loss to the Oklahoma Sooners, who moved up three spots to No. 8 overall.
The SEC currently leads all conferences with five teams currently holding playoff seeds including No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 4 Georgia, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 8 Oklahoma and No. 10 Alabama. This year's playoff format has changed with first-round byes given to the top four teams, rather than the four highest-rated conference champions, as was the format last year during the first season with a 12-team field.
No. 13 Miami and No. 24 Tulane currently hold the final two playoff seeds as the current leaders in their respective conferences.
