Miss Jamaica, Dr. Gabrielle Henry, was rushed to a hospital in Bangkok after a dramatic fall during the preliminary round of the Miss Universe pageant on Wednesday (November 19). The 28-year-old was walking down the runway in a sparkly orange gown when she accidentally stepped off the stage. Footage from the event shows her being carried away on a stretcher.

Henry was taken to Paolo Rangsit Hospital, where she remains under observation. The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization confirmed that she is not suffering from life-threatening injuries, but further tests are being conducted to ensure her full recovery.

According to USA TODAY, Miss Universe Organization President Raúl Rocha Cantú visited Henry at the hospital and reported that she is in stable condition with minor wounds.

"I was there with her family and her, and thankfully, there are no broken bones and she is under good care," Cantú shared in an Instagram post.

The incident occurred just days before the finals of the 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled for Friday (November 21).

The pageant has already been surrounded by controversy, with accusations of misconduct and a judge resigning just days before the event.
